BLOOMING

Clearly the middle east did not get the message that it is supposed to be dry and hot ‘cause the weather here is in Amman is amazing. It just rained the other day so we are blessed to have a yard full of blooming trees. We are coming to the mid-point of our time here and it’s really hard to think about leaving this place. Even though we have only been here a little over a month it feels like home.

We are busy at work during the day helping where we can whether it be playing with children or helping out with a College photo expo. Evenings are still spent at the English Center teaching and talking. It’s nice to get the chance to make friends and see everything we can of this incredible city.

Thanks for praying and l hope all is well with everyone.

Have a good one,

Hope

THE FATHER HAS ARRIVED

The father has arrived. No l don’t mean the rapture has happened and l had one last moment to write an update, but my biological father has arrived in the Middle East to hug his wonderful red headed daughter once more.  My dad has been here 4 days and its already been 4 days of seeing more of the country than l have in my first 2 weeks. Not only that, but we have been eating crazy amounts of hummus (inwardly screaming “MMMMMMMM” after every bite), looking for that one head scarf that defines “me”, and walking down winding allies to find the best coffee in town.
I love having him here and wish he was staying longer. Work in the city is going quite well (details to come later), really better than expected but it does not come without spiritual opposition (so please, keep praying).
Thank for everything guys.
